England’s Euro 2024 Group C campaign draws to a close on Monday night with an away trip to Macedonia and with the Three Lions already through and North Macedonia can’t qualify.
The sides met back in June and that resulted in a 7-0 win for England at Wembley – we are unlikely to see that score again, but if you do think lightning will strike twice then this is on offer at 51.00.
England will also come here off an unconvincing 2-0 home win over Malta, but Southgate’s side can be forgiven for the lack-lustre effort with the game having little bearing as they are already through to Euro 2024.
North Macedonia are out too and come into this match off the back of a 5-2 defeat to Italy last Friday, so betting on the game is a tricky proposition.
The match betting sees England at 1.16, the draw 7.00 and North Macedonia 15.00, so unless you fancy the upset there is little value here.
Past head-to-heads tell us that the sides have met just five times before and North Macedonia are yet to record a success – with three England wins and two draws.
BTTS (no) has paid out in England’s last three games and this is on the table at 1.66 again, while Over 2.5 Goals is sure to be popular despite only being 1.44 – 62% of England’s last 26 matches saw 3+ goals, but they only managed to get two vs Malta in their last game so a word of caution.
England have also won 21 of their last 40 games ‘to nil’ and there looks to be better value here at 1.80 – plus North Macedonia haven’t scored in their last three vs the Three Lions either.
The scoring markets might be another option with Harry Kane on target again in their last game and now on 62 international goals for his country. The Munich man is 3.60 to get the first goal or 1.62 anytime – he netted a brace in England’s 7-0 win over North Macedonia too.
Overall, it’s a game that it is tricky to bet on, but England ‘to win to nil’ looks fair value at 1.80, but BTTS (no) also looks a good option with England’s last three games going this way at 1.66.
BEST BET: BTTS (no) @ 1.66
