It’s not often that you can say both Liverpool and Everton are struggling in the league – but that’s exactly what’s happening at the moment, with the Reds on just 29 points, while Everton are in a relegation fight with only 18 points.

The pair clash in the next instalment of the Merseyside Derby on Monday night and, as always, in this fixture, there a lot of bragging rights to be won across the city.

Despite their poor recent form, Liverpool are still only 1/2 in the match betting, with the draw 10/3 and Everton at 11/2.

New Toffees boss Sean Dyche got off to the perfect start by beating the league leaders Arsenal last weekend so the camp should still be buzzing from that, while Liverpool suffered another embarrassing 3-0 away defeat at Wolves.

The sides met at Goodison Park earlier this season and that ended in a 0-0 draw, while we’ve actually seen 12 draws in the last 23 head-to-heads (52%).

That said, Liverpool are also coming into the game having lost just 1 of their last 22 home games vs their nearest neighbours and are unbeaten in 26 of their last 27 vs Everton in all comps.

Everton have also not scored in their last two trips to Anfield, while with 4 of the last 9 league head-to-heads finishing 0-0, then despite being a boring correct score option, it might appeal at 11/1.

9 of the last 13 head-to-heads went Under 2.5 Goals, which is on offer at Evs, plus both teams DIDN’T score in 8 of the last 11 clashes – this can be backed at 10/11.

The scoring markets see Mo Salah heading the betting at 15/4 (1st) or 13/10 (anytime) and the Egyptian striker has fired in 3 goals in the last 5 head-to-heads, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is Everton’s shortest-priced player to score at 17/2 (1st) or 10/3 (anytime).

Overall, it’s a tricky game to call with both sides having been very poor this season – Everton might be coming into the game with a tad more confidence though after their top win over Arsenal, so another DRAW at 10/3 looks fair value.

BEST BET: DRAW @ 10/3
