  • Man City have lost just 1 of their last 5 vs Man Utd

One of the Premier League season highlights this Wednesday night as bitter rivals Manchester United welcome Manchester City across town Old Trafford.

City are, of course right in the mix of the title race, so three points here will be vital, but United will know that a draw or beating their neighbours will be like winning a trophy in it’s own right.

United are in their own battle – the race for a top four place – they head into this game in sixth place but since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was confirmed at the United boss the wheels have come off a bit of late.

United come into the game off a 4-0 away defeat at Everton, while City will be full of confidence after getting the better of Spurs 1-0 last Saturday.

The match betting sees City at 1.44 – despite being the away side – with the draw 5.00 and United as big as 7.50.

This repeat fixture last term saw City win 1-2 – a repeat of that score can be backed at 8.50 – while City won the other league clash this season 3-1.

The last three head-to-heads ALL went OVER 2.5 GOALS so we should get plenty of action – 3+ goals in the game can be backed at 1.53.

City are also unbeaten in their last three away games at United and have lost just 1 of their last 5 against the Red Devils.

Another option might be ‘Both Teams To Score’ as this has paid out in 3 of the last 4 clashes – this is on offer at 1.66.

City’s Sterling and Aguero will, of course, be popular in the scoring markets at 5.50 (1st) and 4.00 (1st), or they are 2.10 and 1.72 to score at anytime.

United will probably have to rely on Rashford, who is 9.50 (1st) or 3.40 (anytime), or even Paul Pogba (13.00 1st, 4.50 anytime) to step up to the plate.

In what is also a fiery match – maybe you feel there will be a red card shown – if you think there will be then you’ll be rewarded at 3.75 for any side to have a man sent off.

In summary, it’s hard to not see City winning this one – especially with United not in the best of form – but having home advantage and the fact they’ve got a real chance to scupper their title challenge gives this game a cracking sub-plot.

We’ll take there to be OVER 2.5 GOALS at 1.53, but if you are feeling a bit braver then add another goal (Over 3.5 goals) to see those odds increase to 2.30.
