Liverpool v Tottenham – Premier League Betting Guide: Sunday 31st March 2019

Sunday 31st March 2019
Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur 16:30

A massive Premier League game for the title chasers – Liverpool – this Sunday as they welcome Tottenham to Anfield.

Spurs are out of the title race really, but they are still playing for a top four finish so still very much need the points here.

The match betting suggests an easy home win for Liverpool as the Reds are on offer at just 1.55, with the draw 4.00 and Spurs as big as 6.00.

The sides met earlier in the season at Wembley and that resulted in a 1-2 win for Liverpool while the Merseysiders have lost just one of their last 13 games against Spurs. Liverpool are in fact unbeaten in their last 7 home league games when playing Spurs, but it is also worth pointing out there have been 4 draws in the last 7 clashes though (home and away).

We normally get goals when the two play though as 4 of the last 5 have produced OVER 2.5 GOALS – this is on offer at 1.66, while both teams have scored in 6 of the last 7 – this can be backed at 1.70 – and that looks fair value for a bet that’s paid out 86% of the time in the last 7 head-to-heads.

Mo Salah has been a bit off the boil of late, but he’s got a decent record when facing Spurs – scoring 3 goals in the last three. Kane and the in-form Mane are other obvious candidates in the scoring markets.

Overall, a ‘must-win’ game for Liverpool so there will be a lot of pressure on the home side to deliver here, but with Spurs in desperate need for points for their top four battle then we should be in for a great game.

The call is, however, for BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE at 1.70. Both sides have plenty of firepower in the final third of the field, while this is also a bet that has rewarded backers more times than not when these two play.
