Stoke City v Crystal Palace 12:30

Crystal Palace have rallied nicely in the last three or 4 games and with 38 points heading into their final few games they are now pretty much safe from the drop.

They do, however, face a Stoke side this Saturday lunchtime that are still very much in trouble of being relegated. The Potters sit 19th on 30 points and you feel anything but a win here over Palace and they will be doomed to playing Championship football next term.

If recent head-to-head stats are anything to go by then it also doesn’t look great for Stoke. Palace have already beaten them this season 2-1 at Selhurst Park, while the Eagles have also won 3 of their last 4 vs Stoke.

There is a bit of hope for Stoke though as this repeat fixture 12 months ago did end in a 1-0 win to them but it is worth pointing out Palace won both games before that here 1-2.  Also with only 1 DRAW in the last 18 head-to-heads then we generally get a result one way, or another when these sides meet.

The match betting also makes Stoke the favourites at 2.50, with the draw 3.25 and Palace 2.80.

Other key stats to note are that 5 of the last 7 (71%) meetings ended with OVER 2.5 GOALS, so at 1.95 this appeals, while both teams scored in 6 of the last 8 (75%) and if you fancy this stat to be upheld then you’ll be rewarded at 1.70.

Stoke’s Charlie Austin leads the way for them with 7 league goals, while Palace’s Milivojevic, who also takes most of their penalties, heads the way for the Eagles with 10 league goals.

In summary, it’s a game Stoke have much more riding on than Palace, but the Eagles come into the game in rampant form after a recent 5-0 home win over Leicester. Both teams to score at 1.70 catches the eye, as does Over 2.5 goals at 1.95 but the way Palace are ending the season and the fact the pressure could get to Stoke then the 2.80 on an away win here looks a tasty proposition.

BEST BET: PALACE TO WIN @2.80
