Tottenham Hotspur v Watford 20:00

When looking at Watford’s recent games and results it seems as if they are pretty much done for the season. They just about done enough to remain in the Premier League this season and, for me, are already winding down.

However, next-up for them is a visit to Wembley to take on a Spurs side who will be licking their wounds this season after being dumped out of all the cups – the most recent being the F A Cup last weekend – and are probably too far back in the league to even finish second.

So, their season is pretty much over too but there’s a lot to look forward to next season as Spurs look to get back to their newly-built White Hart Lane Stadium.

Spurs, however, do still need to cross the line if they want to secure a top four finish. They are 5 points ahead of 5th place Chelsea – but an easy-looking home game here, against a Watford side that look as if they are already on the beach, then it should be back to winning ways for the Londoners here.

The teams met earlier this season, with that finishing 1-1, but the repeat of this fixture last term ended in an easy 4-0 home win for Spurs.

The match betting has a very one-sided look to it with Spurs on offer at just 1.16, with the draw 7.00 and Watford as big as 15.00.

In fact, Spurs are unbeaten in their last 12 games against Watford and have NEVER lost at home to the Hornets in the Premier League.

Both teams have, however, scored in 4 of the last 6 clashes and despite having nothing really to play for, you would think a trip to Wembley might spark Watford into some sort of life at times. Both teams to find the back of the net can be backed at 2.25.

Over 2.5 goals looks a pretty solid bet too with 3 of the last 4 going that way but depending on what Watford turn up then you might be relying on Spurs getting all three goals for this bet to pay out. Even so, at just 1.44 there is little value here.

Harry Kane, with 26 league goals leads the way for Spurs this season, while Watford’s Doucoure, with 7, tops the lists for Watford. Both are sure to be popular in the scoring markets with Kane 2.87 (1st) or just 1.36 (anytime) and Doucoure 29.00 (1st) or 9.50 (anytime).

It’s a match that Spurs are fully expected to take maximum points from but at just 1.16 they are an unbackable price. Both teams to score at 2.25 makes a certain amount of appeal but really it could pay to just keep this one simple and opt for Harry Kane to score the game’s opening goal at 2.87.

BEST BET: HARRY KANE TO SCORE 1ST @2.87
