Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion 15:00

Don’t forget Liverpool are also in the  Champions League Final later this month but they still have to make sure they end their 2017/18 Premier League campaign in a top four place – they need just a point to secure that.

It’s getting tight between themselves, Chelsea and Spurs but a draw over in their final game Brighton should be good enough for the Reds.

The Seagulls head to Anfield with their top-flight status secured too so it will be a nice day out for their fans.

Brighton’s home form has pretty much kept them up this season as I think they’ve only lost to Man City, Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool in front of their home fans. Yes, Liverpool supporters will recall a 1-5 away win at Brighton this season so the Seagulls might be fearing the worst again here.

However, depending on exactly what Liverpool need to get out of the game with a Champions League Final on the horizon then Klopp could easily be tinkering with his side here.

With that in mind the 1.14 on a Liverpool win – despite this looking a very obvious outcome – looks a bit short, with the draw 7.50 and Brighton 17.00.

With the last repeat fixture coming way back in the old Division One in 1982 then we’ve no recent history to go on – but, for the record, Liverpool won that 3-1.

The last 6 head-to-heads in all competitions produced OVER 2.5 GOALS, but – as I say – a lot of these were a long time ago. You can back 3+ goals in the match at 1.44.

In fact, 5 of the last 6 head-to-heads went OVER 3.5 GOALS so by just adding an extra goal the odds increase to a much-better 2.10 and this might be the way to go.

With the Reds unbeaten in their last 6 vs Brighton and the seasiders having little to play for then a win for Liverpool should be a formality but we’ll take a chance on this fixture producing goals again and opt for the 2.10 on offer on the game having 4+ goals scored.

BEST BET: OVER3.5 GOALS @ 2.10
