Manchester City v Leicester City 17:30
The Premier League leaders – Man City – head into week 27 a massive 13 points clear of the pack and really it’s only a matter of time before the bookmakers start to pay out on any outright bets.
Okay, City dropped points last week away at Burnley but really it should be back to business here as they entertain Leicester in the Saturday early evening game.
After tricky beginning to the season Leicester are now up to 8th in the table and with 35 points they are not in any danger of being relegated.
Whenever City are at home the match betting has a very one-sided look to it with the league leaders at 1.20, the draw 6.00 and Leicester around 15.00.
City beat Leicester ‘to nil’ earlier this season (0-2) back in November thanks to goals from Jesus and De Bruyne.
Last season’s repeat fixture finished Man City 2-1 Leicester, but the Foxes will certainly no be fazed by City as they’ve actually beaten them in 2 of their last 4 league clashes.
England and Leicester hitman – Jamie Vardy – with 12 league goals and Man City’s Sergio Aguero, with 17 strikes in the league, will be popular with punters in the scoring markets.
Vardy is 11.00 to score the first goal, or 3.50 anytime, while Aguero is 3.40 (1st) or 1.44 anytime.
Man City have managed to score at least 2 goals in their last three matches when playing Leicester in the league, plus with 3 of the last 4 clashes having OVER 2.5 GOALS then if the recent stats are anything to go by then goals should be on the menu here.
3+ goals is on offer at just 1.36 though, so no great value here, however, if we add on a few more goals then OVER 3.5 can be backed at 1.83, or 5+ goals at 3.00.
However, the main selection here is for BOTH TEAMS to find the back of the net. This bet has rewarded punters in the last two repeat fixtures between these two these teams and also in 4 of the last 5.
Leicester and Man City were also both involved in matches last weekend that both sides scored in, while this bet has paid out in Leicester’s last three games, plus in 6 of Man City’s last 8 matches (all comps).
With that in-mind the 1.80 on offer on both sides scoring certainly looks fair value and with City sure to score then the bet should give us a good run for our money.
Best Bet: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @1.80
