Liverpool v Everton 16:15

On Sunday we’ve a day full of Premier League Derbies, but the Liverpool v Everton clash is always a season highlight for many.

Both sides head into the game in fair form – Liverpool sit second in the table are yet to lose a league game from 13, while Everton start week 13 in sixth with 22 points and have only lost three of their opening 13 league games.

With home advantage it’s no shock to see Liverpool as the short-priced favourites here at 1.36, with the Draw 4.75 and Everton 9.00.

Last season’s repeat fixture ended 1-1 so Everton fans will have some glimmer of hope – in fact, both league head-to-heads finished all-square last term. With 8 of the last 13 (62%) clashes also seeing the sides share the points then at 4.75 there does seem to be some value in the draw.

It is, however, worth knowing that Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 17 vs Everton in all comps, and have scored only 4 times in the last 8 they’ve played Liverpool.

In contrast, Liverpool have netted in 9 of their last 11 against the Toffeemen. All-in-all it’s hard to see Liverpool losing this one – especially with home advantage – but at 1.36 there is also no value in their price.

Another option might be to side with Liverpool in the (-1.50) Asian Handicap market at 2.06. This means Liverpool will need to win by 2 or more goals, but they managed to score 3 last weekend against Watford and have scored at least one in 82% of their last 11 games against Everton.
