Crystal Palace v Tottenham Hotspur 17:30
Palace have had a tough time of it recently with games against Arsenal and Chelsea, but it doesn’t get an easier this weekend either as they face another top London side in Tottenham.
On a plus, the Eagles are at least at home but even that advantage the bookies don’t feel they’ve got enough to win this – Palace are on offer at 4.75, with the Draw 3.50 and Spurs as short as 1.75.
Last season’s repeat fixture ended Palace 0-1 Spurs so that option at 9.50 is certainly a bet to have on your radar – why? Well, ALL of the last four head-to-heads between the sides have ended 1-0 to Spurs, including the last two repeats of this fixture!!
Therefore, Under 2.5 goals has also been a popular payout in this game in recent years, with 9 of the last 11 clashes seeing 2 or less goals in. With that in mind, the 2.10 (2nd fav) in this market makes plenty of appeal too.
Both teams failed to score in 9 of the last 11 head-to-heads too so this might be another angle into the game also on offer at 2.10.
We’ve only seen one draw in the last 12 head-to-heads so we tend to get a result one-way or another, but with Palace struggling for goals in general at the moment and the fact they’ve NOT scored in their last four against Spurs suggests they’ve got a bit of a task ahead of them here – especially as Spurs have also won 6 of their last 7 against Palace.
So, under 2.5 goals and both teams not to score are options but we are going to keep this one simple and opt for a Spurs win at 1.75, with a small interest on the popular 1-0 scoreline for the away side too.
BEST BET:
SPURS TO WIN @1.75
SPURS TO WIN 0-1 @9.50
