Arsenal v Manchester City 19:45

More Premier League action this Thursday as Arsenal and Man City play their game in-hand after missing last weekend with the League Cup Final at Wembley.

City won that match very easily 3-0, so Arsenal will probably be sick to death of them, but with the Gunners having home advantage and badly in need of points then some might think them to get something out here.

Wenger’s side sit 6th in the league and are now 8 points off Chelsea and 10 off fourth – so it really is crunch-time for them if they want to finish in the top four – they are now 21.00 to make the top four!

With City not playing last weekend then that gave the likes of Spurs, Man Utd and Liverpool an opportunity to close the gap, but despite the trio all winning City are still 13 points clear at the top of the tree!

The match betting ahead of this game sees City at a tempting-looking 1.72, with the draw 4.00 and Arsenal 4.50 – after all the league leaders have just beaten Arsenal 3-0, so why can’t they again.
That 0-3 score line is on offer at 17.00 and is sure to draw people in, while this fixture last season ended 2-2 and that can be backed at 13.00.

Sergio Aguero needs no introduction and he landed the money for us in the League Cup Final last weekend – he’s scored in 5 of the last 6 head-to-heads, including last Sunday, and with 17 league goals this term looks a tempting price at 1.83 (anytime), or 4.50 first scorer.

Both teams have scored in 5 of the last 6 head-to-heads so at 1.50 this is another option, while with 9 of the last 10 clashes going OVER 2.5 GOALS then we can expect plenty of goal-mouth action here. However, at just 1.44 for 3+ goals then there is little value in this bet.

If you are thinking of backing City – and they are a tempting price at 1.72 – it is worth noting that 3 of the last 6 head-to-heads have ended in draws though.

Yes, we expect goals, but with Arsenal having trouble containing Sergio Aguero when he faces them the 1.83 on him scoring anytime looks worth snapping up.
