It was ‘all smiles’ for Gareth Southgate’s England team on Sunday as they came back from 0-1 down to beat the FIFA world number one ranked side – Belgium – 2-1, with that win putting the Three Lions now top of their Nations League Group on 7 points.

Next up for England is to welcome Denmark to Wembley – a side that head here after a comfortable 0-3 away win at Iceland on Sunday – three points that took the Danes into third in the table on 4 points and just 3 points off the leaders England.

The sides also met recently in this competition and that ended in a 0-0 draw, so if you fancy a repeat of that scoreline, it is on offer at 12.00.

The match betting suggests a win for England at 1.66, with the Draw 3.80 and Denmark at 5.00.

There are 12 places between the two countries based on the FIFA current rankings too – with England ranked fourth and Denmark 16th – but don’t forget the Three Lions have also just beaten the to-ranked side Belgium too!

The overall head-to-head record between the two countries also favours England. They’ve met 20 times, with England recording 12 wins to Denmark’s 3, while there have also been 5 draws.

In fact, the Danes to like a draw at the moment. Yes, they beat Iceland 0-3 in their last game, but it could pay to know they’ve actually drawn 50% of their last 16 games in all competitions!

Denmark will be no easy game for England – they’ve only lost one of their last 18 games heading into this match and as mentioned, England couldn’t find a goal in their last match that ended 0-0.

However, England have lost just one of their last 11 games and have also let in just 1 goal in their last 7 games and that was a penalty in their last match against Belgium – so they’ve actually not conceded in open play for 7 games!

It’s worth pointing out that England have also beaten Denmark 1-0 in 4 of their last 5 home games against them – so at 7.50, this might appeal.

5 of Denmark’s last 7 games went UNDER 2.5 GOALS, so this cane be backed at 2.00, but in contrast a massive 14 of England’s last 17 games (82%) have seen 3+ goals scored – Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 1.80. While despite a 0-0 draw when these sides last met, 4 of the last 6 clashes have gone Over 2.5 goals too.

Team news for both sides will, of course, be important, especially as Gareth Southgate is tinkering with his side a bit at the moment and Harry Kane is not 100% injury-free.

It’s another tricky game to call, but England should be full of confidence after their recent win over Belgium and with plenty of options open to Gareth Southgate then we can expect another strong side to play.

I suspect the Danes will try and keep it tight and would probably take a draw. The overs/unders market is a bit tough to call as well. I expect a close game, but with a big percentage of England games going OVER 2.5 goals this puts a spanner in the works with regards to this bet.

With all that in mind, the safest call looks to just keep things simple and side with an England win here around the 1.66 mark – something they’ve manged to do over the Danes in 60% of their 20 previous clashes.

BEST BET: ENGLAND WIN @1.66
