2019-20 Premier League Outright Betting Guide

With the 2019-20 Premier League on the horizon we thought we’d take a quick look at how the betting is ahead of start of the new campaign.

Before a ball has even been kicked for the 2019-20 season, the current champions – Manchester City – are already all the rage at around 1.50 to win their fifth title in the last nine years.

Last term the Citizens topped the table with 98 points, but unlike the season before, were only a point clear of their nearest rival – Liverpool.

With a massive gap back to Chelsea (72 points) in third and Spurs (71 points) in fourth then you feel the Londoners both have a lot of ground to make up this season.

Arsenal finished fifth (70 points) and Manchester United (66 points).

Before the first game on Friday Aug 9th, as mentioned, Manchester City are as short as 1.50, but if you fancy a new champion this season then Liverpool, who only just failed by a point last season, are on offer at 3.60.

It’s a big leap to the next-best price and that’s Spurs at 17.00, while the 2016-17 champions – Chelsea – can be backed at 34.00 with former player Frank Lampard now their new manager.

If you think Manchester United can with their first title since 2012-13, then you’ll be rewarded at odds of 41.00, while the only other feasible option looks to be Arsenal at a massive 67.00.

However, it was only four seasons ago that we saw one of the biggest shocks in modern football when Leicester City won the Premier League – the Foxes are on offer at 301.00.

In summary, the Premier League has almost become a competition that is split into three of even four tiers.

With the huge firepower at their disposals and the fact they were miles clear of the pack last term, then it’s hard to see beyond Man City and Liverpool fighting this one out.

City will be the safer call, but Liverpool showed they can get within touching distance last season and will be full of confidence after also being crowned champions of Europe.

The Merseysiders are the better value, so I’ll take them to win their first Premier League title and their first top-flight success since 1989-90.

BEST BET: LIVERPOOL @3.60
