Some more decent club friendlies this week with Man Utd actually playing Man City in the early hours on Friday (02:30) in the International Champions Cup.
They actually meet over in America – hence the crazy kick-off time – playing at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Both sides are big players in the Premier League outright market with Man City priced as the 2.87 favourites and Man Utd at 4.33 – the first two in the betting to lift the English title next season!
We’ll get a chance to see some of their new signings in action, with Man Utd’s Romelu Lukaku surely the main attraction.
The match betting ahead of this game sees Man City as the slight favourites at 2.40, with the draw 3.50 and Man Utd at 2.80, but it goes without saying that in these club friendlies then stakes should be kept to a minimum.
That said – is there such a thing as a friendly between these two sides!?
They met three times last term, with a draw and a win a-piece, but with 4 of the last 5 head-to-heads going UNDER 2.5 GOALS then this could be the play if you are wanting to have an interest in the game.
This is actually on offer as the second favourite in this market at 2.00, with OVER at 1.80. Yes, we could see some risks being taken and new things tried, but given the nature of the opposition it’s still a game neither side will want to lose and more importantly give the other team a slight edge when the season starts next month.
